Showcases of Pupils’ Work

Pupils in Years 1 and 2 showcased their work this term with a special film all about their topic, ‘London’. Parents enjoyed a ‘behind the scenes’ look at all of the work that goes on in the classroom and on our educational visits to ensure that pupils are engaged with their learning and can demonstrate their understanding in a variety of ways. The cakes baked by our pupils were enjoyed by the audience whilst they waited.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils also had a work sharing event this term. Their topic theme of ‘Power and Struggle’ has been represented with artwork based on the Bayeux Tapestry and autobiographical poetry work. Some of the pupils’ work has been very moving as they have written about overcoming their own individual struggles. Their work has shown a high level of maturity and they have all enjoyed writing for a purpose.

Our youngest pupils in the EYFS have also been busy sharing their learning. The children took part in the 'I Can' charity 'Chatterbox Challenge'. The 'I Can' charity raises money to support children's communication and language development. The children practised singing a range of nursery rhymes and songs which were then performed to family and friends. The theme of this year's 'Chatterbox Challenge' was 'Ben and Holly's Elf and Fairy party' and the children had a great time dressing up as elves and fairies. They also raised £291 for this great cause.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers for your support and enthusiasm for the great work of our pupils.
