Ashmole provides extended day provision by offering children the opportunity to join our breakfast club and after school club. The Extended Day Centre (EDC) is purpose built and is situated within the school grounds but is separate from the main school building.

Ashmole Extended Day Centre is registered with Ofsted for children from age 4 years. Our registration number is EY348033 completed on 7 June 2007. As an Ofsted approved childcare provider, we are able to accept childcare voucher payments for Breakfast Club and EDC After School Club. Please speak to a member of the office team for further details.

Breakfast Club is open from 7.45am to 9am. It is charged at £3.50 per session if booked in advance, or £4.00 per session for ad-hoc use if spaces are available (20 places in total). Ashmole School Clubs

Separate after school activity clubs are offered in addition to the EDC after school club offer.

Participation in these clubs is limited to a certain number of participants and places must be applied for separately to the EDC. Payment for Ashmole clubs outside of EDC are charged in addition to the cost of registering your child to attend the EDC.

Arrival & Collection

Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children are collected from their classrooms at 3.25pm and escorted to the EDC by a member of Ashmole Primary School staff. Key Stage 2 children make their own way to the EDC after being dismissed by their class teacher at 3.30pm.

A member of EDC staff will remain at the front desk from 3.30 until 3.45 when the site is secured. The EDC manager will be at the front desk from 5.00pm to ensure all children are signed out and as a point of contact for parents/carers for both general and specific enquiries.

Children are registered upon arrival and must be signed out at the front desk by the person collecting them.

There is a separate late collection policy for children not collected by 6.00pm.

First Aid

A trained first aider is present at all times. Any accidents or injuries which are treated by a first aider will be recorded and an incident slip completed and sent home with the child.

If a child has an on-going medical condition which requires medication (e.g. asthma inhaler) this should be provided and labelled with the child's name to stay in the EDC setting.

There is an indoor and outdoor first aid box and specific children's medication will be situated in the setting that they have chosen to be in for the session.
